Prisoner of the Chakhtitsky Castle: Bloody killer or victim of a conspiracy?

👧We begin the story of literature, which, no doubt, will attract lovers of acute, extraordinary sensations. It is no secret that many entertain stories about extraordinary heroes, the features of which or their behavior are knocked out of generally accepted and are recognized as abnormal.

The story of this woman formed the basis of a huge number of literary and screen "horror". The name of the Hungarian Countess Elizabeth (Alzhbeta) Batori is included in the Guinness Book of Records. She is recognized as the most massive killer. Countess Batori is killed by more than six hundred girls in order to obtain their blood. The criminal used the blood of virgins in a special font, returning youth.

Her homeland was a mysterious and dark trancing country, which gave rise to another legendary vampire, its predecessor Prince Vlad Tepes (Dracula). Historians have not yet decided on the opinion who, in reality, was Elizabeth Batori - a brutal killer, a follower of black magic and occultism or a victim of a religious conspiracy?
Incest
One of the causes of the origin of the phenomenal cruelty of the young aristocrat from the city of NIRBATOR calls the incest of her parents belong to different branches of the same kind of governor Batori. This fact was blown up by both the physical and mental health of all her relatives, they suffered from alcoholism, epilepsy and schizophrenia. The raw walls of the castle also contributed to the development of rheumatism and gout. All these problems did not bypass Elizabeth.
Young aristocrat
Despite the education obtained, befitting her high position, a girl from an early age was characterized by falling into an unreasonable rage. What was this cause of genetics or cruel time?
The religion that the young aristocrat professed was Calvinism (a variety of Protestantism). Some historians suggest that this is precisely one of the reasons for the tragedy that was played out in her fate.Marriage
Her husband was Ferenc Nadashdi, the son of the Hungarian palatine, with whom she was married at the age of ten to political reasons. The wedding took place only after five years.
Children
History tells that being in the status of the bride, thirteen -year -old Alzhbet gave birth to an illegitimate child from a servant who was subsequently castrated by her groom and locked in a cage with hungry dogs. It is possible that the same fate befell the child - his traces are lost ...
Elizabeth Batori also had other children born already in marriage - presumably, there were six of them.
The ruler of the estate
The husband presented her with the Chakhtitsky castle (modern Slovakia), which she ruled while her husband was trained in Vienna, and then took part in military campaigns.
In 1604, she became a widow. By will, to look after the widow and her children were entrusted to Count Dierdy Turzo, the palatine of Hungary.
Rumors
In 1610, rumors about the monstrous atrocities taking place in the Chakhtitsky Castle began to reach the monastery of the Habsburgs. They said that the hostess lures innocent girls into her house, tortures them, bleed and kills, and uses their blood for baths.
Legend
According to legend, once the Countess Batori frightened the words about her old age awaiting her. Having once beaten her maid, she noticed that her skin, after the girl’s blood droplets came to her, became softer and fresh. The sorceress confirmed this, saying that the blood of immaculate girls is the best remedy for prolonging youth.
And the countess began to lure into her house, supposedly for training and work, first peasant girls, and then the daughters of small nobles.Their bloodless bodies were found in the vicinity of the Chekhtitsky Castle. Locals believed that vampires live in their forests.
Investigation
When the daughters of the nobles began to disappear, the king instructed Dieordus Turzo to conduct an investigation.
In December 1610, he managed to find the countess and her assistants by surprise, during the torture. Nine tormented bodies were discovered in the estate.
Punishment
The Hand holders, under torture, confessed everything and were burned alive. Erzhebet (Elizabeth, Alzhbet) was sharpened in the Chakhtitsky Castle, in a room with laid windows and door. For the supply of water and bread, small holes were left.
Three years later, the prisoner died. Where her dust is now resting is unknown.
Conspiracy?
Some researchers are inclined to believe that the whole story of the “bloody countess” is fictitious to conspirators who want to get its land and property. As its participants, not only the guardian of Dieurdy Turzo, but also representatives of the Catholic Church is called. Having exposed the Calvinist Batori as an embodied evil, the ministers of the cult succeeded in disgusting the people from Protestantism and introducing them to Catholicism.

Many facts from the life of Countess Erzhebet were reflected in literature, computer games, cinema, graphics, as well as in musical works.
